How we research
We don’t test apps by hand. We read what thousands of users, release notes and store listings say, count it, and show you the numbers, so you get the verdict without reading every review yourself.
What do we read?
- App Store and Google Play reviews across app versions.
- Release notes.
- Vendor pricing pages.
- Side-by-side feature checks.
Every page states the count and the date range behind it. If we don’t have a count, it stays off the page.
How do we do it?
AI does the heavy lifting. It collects, sorts and summarizes the evidence and drafts the pages, which lets us cover far more reviews than a person could read. William sets the criteria and is accountable for what we publish. Every page passes an automated check and a separate review step before it goes live.
What do labels and scores mean?
Scores and labels come from named criteria, such as complaints per 1,000 reviews, feature gaps, price and free-tier limits. Each page tells you how a figure was counted.
What are the limits?
Review samples skew towards very happy and very unhappy users, so we read the counts with that in mind. We don’t assess paid features that aren’t documented.
How do we make money?
We earn commission on some products. Rank order comes from the criteria, not from payout. See the affiliate disclosure for which programs pay.
How fresh is it?
We check prices monthly and refresh pages quarterly. Every change to a fact or number is dated on the page.
